Our photographer handed us a USB with 1,400 photos. We looked through it once. This we actually open — on our anniversary, when Theo's mum comes round. We've added our first flat and the dog since the wedding, and honestly that's the part I didn't expect to love this much.
I gave it to my daughter and her husband as a wedding present. I worried it would feel like a gadget. It doesn't — it feels like the albums my own mother used to keep, except their children will actually be able to find it one day. That was the whole reason I did it.
We got married four years ago and never did anything with the day. Sitting down and finally putting it somewhere — the vows, who gave the speeches, the song we forgot the name of — got to me more than I expected. I only wish we'd done it sooner.
